This little frog was kind enough to position himself between the cactus pot he lives in and the face pot that is right beside it just long enough for me to get a picture of the “frog kiss!”

The other day I was privy to see two mature male brown anoles in a display of either territorial dispute or trying to impress a female. (I’m guessing it was probably the former) It was quite the show! I love watching them do all their antics in the garden, living their little lives. I'm going to the Art Center today with Debra. We are mainly going to see the exhibit by watercolorist Mary Whyte, but I haven't been there in quite awhile, so there will be lots of other art to see, too. Debra will pick where we go to lunch ( Read more... )

A little elf (who would be son-in-law, Joe) has been busy lately. Pete and I were out seeing some sights and running errands this morning and when we got home this afternoon there was a beautiful handcrafted wheelbarrow sitting in our backyard.

I have little elements, turtles, frogs, lizards, etc., throughout the garden. Pete doesn't mess with them unless one falls or gets knocked out of place by some critter or even the wind/rain. When this happens, he has this uncontrollable urge to put it in another place. I never know what I'm going to find sometimes, like this.....
